Everything White + Black

Everything White + Black

Nathan A. Bernstein & Co., Ltd. is pleased to present an inaugural exhibition in a new location. Everything White + Black is an important exhibition of paintings, drawings, sculptures and photographs by a variety of artists. Through the concise concentration of only two powerful colors, the works presented build a bridge through Modern and Contemporary art. With approximately 30 works on view, Everything White + Black explores the diverse range of art that has been produced within these color limitations.

The exhibition includes important historical works such as three Rorschach paintings by Warhol, a Stabile by Alexander Calder, works on paper by Picasso and Kandinsky. Also on view will be a selection of work by contemporary artists such as Ruscha, Marlene Dumas, Raymond Pettibon and Robert Wilson.

This exhibition is presented at a time when the current art market is frantic with biennials, art fairs and auction houses. Everything White + Black is an attempt to streamline and simplify.

"I know that I have two hands and both hands are completely different. I live my life in opposites-black and white." – Robert Wilson
